St Marks

St Marks is a fabulous venue for a wedding. The small historic church building on the shores of the Scotts Creek in the Manning Estuary is about as close to idyllic as you are going to find.

Function centres abound in the region, at Manning Point, Old Bar and of course Taree.

On the North East corner of the Church there is a columbarium, which offers a great place to inter the ashes of those for whom the island represents an important part of their lives. It also offers a great space for reflection.

St Marks Roof

Inside and Out

The little Church of St Mark, situated on the riverbank on Scott's Creek is a true gem. When you go inside don't forget to look up at the roof, and instantly you realise this was built by people who built boats for a living. And don't forget to look up to to God for such a great little piece of paradise here on earth.

The Historic Photo here taken in 1921 shows the Church constructed in 1882. The door is in it's original southern position facing the river, the door has sinced been moved to the northern side facing the road.
